BRAND BuILDING

SPIRITS THAT TRANSCEND
Liquid optimisation, range repositioning & NPD
Creating exceptional spirits isn’t just about what’s in the glass – it’s about ensuring the liquid aligns with your brand’s positioning, meets consumer expectations, and stands out in a crowded market. Both the product itself and proposition both matter!
I help producers fine-tune existing recipes, optimise production methods for better yields, and develop new products that are both commercially viable and distinct.
As a senior judge at the IWSC and established journalist, I’ve evaluated thousands of spirits across categories, giving me a deep understanding of quality benchmarks and market trends both in glass and on shelf.
I’ve delivered worked on ideation and sensory development with brands like Tarquin’s, Warner’s, and Hayman’s to create NPD, as well as helped refine profiles for Dartmouth Dry Gin, Valley of Mother of God Gin and countless others that have then gone on to win major awards.
Whether you’re developing a new flagship product, reworking your range, or simply want to improve the consistency and appeal of your core offering, I can provide hands-on support, strategic insight and sensory analysis to get you there.
Comercial pragmatism, creative solutions
Route to Market & Brand Strategy
Creating a great spirit is just the start – positioning it in the right way while getting it into the right hands through an intentional channel and serve strategy, and at the right price is what drives long-term success. I help brands map out effective route to market strategies, refine their commercial approach, and define a brand narrative that resonates with both trade and consumers.
I’ve worked on related projects for dozens of clients over the years, so, keeping it to 2025 – I am helping Charter Brands reposition one of their brands to better fit market dynamics and consumer perceptions, as well as worked with Global Victoria to guide nine Australian brands on their export trade mission to ProWein, including readiness preparation, comms support and meeting facilitation at the show.
I have experience across DTC, retail, on-trade, and international markets, and Iove to deliver tailored advice that connects your operational capacity with sales strategy, ensuring your route to market isn’t just feasible – it’s scalable and strategic.

Content that gets noticed, Campaigns that get traction
Content Marketing, Campaign & Comms Strategy development
Telling your story effectively is as important as the product itself. We help brands craft cohesive campaigns, impactful content, and communication strategies that drive engagement and reinforce brand values.
I’ve developed POS for Fever-Tree, brand campaigns and events for William Grant & Sons (Hendrick’s, Monkey Shoulder, The Balvenie), created video content for Pernod Ricard (Beefeater, Plymouth Gin). Alongside my roles as the editor of Spirits Beacon and Gin Foundry publishing hundreds of articles, I’ve commissioned journalists and released associated products involving UGC, influencer marketing and press campaigns.
Whether you need help developing launch campaigns, trade activation assets, or content strategies for digital and CRM channels, I have the editorial know-how and creative execution to help brands cut through the noise and connect with their audience.
